(1) The department may review
all proposed locations for signs to determine if they comply with the rules or
if there is a conflict with existing signs or future sign installations. The
department may review an agreement with an owner, check businesses for
compliance with Title 60, chapter 5, part 5, MCA, and this subchapter.
(2) Complaints about the
motorist information sign program or the actions of the franchisee in relation
to the program may be submitted in writing to the department. Complaints shall
be investigated by the department which will provide a written response to the
complainant. A copy of the complaint and the response shall be provided to the franchisee.
