NOTICE OF AMENDMENT |
TO: All Concerned Persons
1. On June 26, 2014, the Department of Administration published MAR Notice No. 2-59-508 pertaining to the proposed amendment of the above-stated rule at page 1309 of the 2014 Montana Administrative Register, Issue Number 12.
2. The department has amended the above-stated rule as proposed.
3. The department has thoroughly considered the comment received. A summary of the comment received and the department's response is as follows:
COMMENT 1: The Montana Independent Bankers Association (MIB) is a trade association of Montana's independent bankers. The MIB commented that it has strongly supported the same amendments to this administrative rule made in 2012 and 2013 which also multiplied the bank assessments by a factor of .50 as opposed to 1.50. It has urged the department to keep the amendment in place as long as it was economically feasible to do so. The MIB recognizes the division's conclusion that it is economically feasible to continue the reduced assessment. It commented that it supports the current proposed amendment to reduce the bank assessments until January 26, 2015.
RESPONSE 1: The department thanks the MIB for its support of this amendment.
