NOTICE OF DECISION ON PROPOSED AMENDMENT

 

TO: All Concerned Persons

 

1. On June 24, 2022, the Fish and Wildlife Commission (commission) published MAR Notice No. 12-560 pertaining to the public hearing on the proposed amendment of the above-stated rule at page 950 of the 2022 Montana Administrative Register, Issue Number 12. 

 

2.  A public hearing on the notice of proposed amendment of the above-stated rule was held on July 18, 2022. 

 

3. Most of the comments received by the commission were opposed to listing caracal cats as a prohibited species. The commission did not adopt the proposed amendment to ARM 12.6.2215. 

The commission has published MAR Notice No. 12-591 pertaining to a public hearing on the proposed amendment to ARM 12.6.2208 to classify the caracal cat as a controlled species at page 2064 of the 2022 Montana Administrative Register, Issue Number 21.
