23.3.516A AIR BRAKE RESTRICTION (1) All commercial vehicle operator's endorsements shall be issued subject to the restriction "may not operate air brake or air brake/combination equipped vehicles" unless the applicant has successfully completed a driving examination in a vehicle equipped with air brake or air brake/ combination systems or has presented a certificate of experience showing at least 24 months experience in the operation of air brake or air brake/combination equipped vehicles.
